Terms of Service

Purpose

These Terms of Service govern the use of the Amethly website and application. This agreement is made between the operator of Amethly, hereinafter referred to as "the Publisher", and any individual or legal entity wishing to access the application and its services, hereinafter referred to as "the User".

These Terms of Service must be accepted by every User. Accessing or using Amethly constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Access to the application

Any User with an internet connection can create an account and access Amethly from anywhere. Costs incurred by the User to access the service (internet connection, hardware, etc.) are not covered by the Publisher.

A free trial is available, limited to a subset of levels and questions. Full access requires a one-time payment, processed by our payment provider, Paddle.

Amethly and its services may be interrupted or suspended by the Publisher at any time, notably for maintenance purposes, without prior notice or justification.

User responsibilities

The User is responsible for the confidentiality of their login credentials. Should credentials be compromised, the Publisher cannot be held liable for any resulting consequences.

The User agrees to use Amethly in a manner consistent with its purpose and applicable law, and not to attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or abuse the application or its underlying question content.

Any use of the service that directly or indirectly causes damage to Amethly or third parties may give rise to a claim for compensation.

Publisher responsibilities

Amethly is a training tool designed to help Users practice for cybersecurity certifications. It does not guarantee certification results or exam outcomes.

The Publisher cannot be held liable for any malfunction of the server or network, nor for events of force majeure or unforeseeable acts of third parties.

The Publisher undertakes to implement all reasonable means to ensure the security and confidentiality of User data, but does not guarantee absolute security.

While the content of the questions is believed to be accurate and kept up to date, the Publisher does not warrant that it is free of errors or omissions.

Intellectual property

All content available on Amethly (logo, text, graphics, game design, question pool, explanations, etc.) is protected by copyright. The User must obtain the Publisher's authorization before any reproduction, copy, or publication of this content.

This content may be used by Users for private purposes only; any commercial use is prohibited.

Personal data

The User must provide certain personal information to register on Amethly. This information, including the User's email address, may be used to communicate account and service-related information.

Amethly is committed to protecting the User's privacy. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

Hyperlinks

Amethly may contain links to third-party websites. The Publisher has no control over these external sites and cannot be held liable for their content.

Changes to these terms

The Publisher reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time and without justification. Users will be notified of significant changes.

Term

This agreement is entered into for an indefinite period and takes effect for the User from the moment they start using the service.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably between the User and the Publisher, the courts of Brussels shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
